That is magic. :) Many years ago, my sister wrote to Ayn Rand only to have her daughter write back saying she'd just passed away. Years later, I did the same thing - spoke to an author's father who tld me the same sad news. Both families were so gracious - and thankful - to hear that those they loved had affected us so strongly, and would not be forgotten. Why not check your local library and dontate a copy of her book that the library doesn't have? But, I picked up "The Chosen" 30 years ago, and had to keep reading. Then I read more of his books. Strangely enough, he lived in the Philly area, and I pass his final resting place quite often on my way home from work.
