Wild Bird Wednesday - Allen's Hummingbird

This cute little male Allen's Hummingbird was more than happy to show me his sparkling emerald green back, but when I tried to move into place to get a few shots from the front...he took off.

He turned and give me a profile, but not enough to see his throat patch.
 
 
 
 
But he did stick his tongue out at me so I suppose that's something ;-)  And those green feathers - so pretty!
