New Necklace

Glad people seemed to enjoy the new bead porn last Friday - and thanks for the comments!  I'll definitely be doing more of those posts going forward.

Even though we're not having any winter weather AT ALL out here, I still had summer on the brain for most of the new things that I made (with maybe the exception of the Dove necklaces and earrings from last week - those seem to be very Valentine's Day-ish) and this next necklace is no exception to that whole summery vibe thing:

I kept this one super simple to show off these darling lampwork beads from Puffafish.

I added sterling silver daisy spacers and silver Mykonos spacers and a few touches of opalescent white crystal rondelles.

I loved the pretty and cool color scheme of frosted clear with dots of white, aqua and deep red.

A pretty sterling silver toggle, some sterling rollo chain and wire-wrapped crystals finish off the back.

I love how the silver really brightens up the piece and brings it to life...not that those lampwork beads needed much help because they are so pretty.  They just needed the right supporting cast so they could be the star of the show.  I'm calling this piece "Dotted Ice."

There will definitely be more new pieces later this week...I made a LOT of stuff when I finally got the chance.  I guess all that backlogged creativity had to come out somehow.

Stay tuned!
