In the meantime, does anyone know if dunce caps come in parrot sizes? Because this parrot needs one. Seriously. Turns out the website has been down for the last several weeks due to a problem with my hosting company (and yes, they tried to notify me, but had the ex's e-mail on file so...'nuff said). Anyway, problem is fixed now and the site is back up so shop to your heart's content. I may even have some new merchandise to upload soon.
In fact, here's a picture of an embroidered bracelet in progress:

More pics brought to you by the fact that my friend Laura and I went to the LA Gift Show at the convention center yesterday and got ourselves into quite a bit of trouble - but the good kind of trouble that results in fun bead pictures for the blog!
I went back to the pendant vendor that I had such good luck with at the show back in January and picked up a few more bargains from them:

I also visited my favorite gemstone vendor at the show and picked up this fabulous strand of Amazonite pebbles:

Don't they just make you think of the the way the ocean looks around a tropical island? Of course, I'm always a sucker for the blue/green/aqua/turquoise colors...
That's it for this entry - have to save some more delicious surpises for the next entry!
Hope every had a nice weekend!

hate. why do you hate me so, that you went to the gift show without me and then you torture me with pictures? sadness...those turq pendants are gorgeous.
btw, i have gotten totally addicted to the french version of temptation island, and i fully hold you responsible? why? i just do. you're the one who watches project runway and blogs it, and i don't know how the two are connected, they just ARE.
That bead embroidered bracelet is going to be gorgeous!!!
Thanks about the pendants - they are pretty aren't they, but then again you're in France so I figure you've earned whatever punishment I dish out ;-) Oh, and regarding "Skank Island" or whatever the heck it's called...I never even heard of that show and what are you doing watching tv anyway? You're in Paris! Go be Parisian or something :-)
Thanks for the compliment! I hope it's going to turn out well. I'm a little concerned about the placement of the pearls in one section and I may rip that out and re-do it. Then again, I've reached that phase of the project where I just want it to be DONE so I can move on :-)
what is the foundation of this...felt? I love beads...just wish I had the patience to do something like this!
The backing on the bracelet is a product called "Lacy's Stiff Stuff." Normally, it comes in white, but this has been dyed to match the project colors so that it won't show when everything is finished. I believe that you can get any medium thickness, stiff interfacing material (pellon, etc.) from a fabric store as a substitute.
Hello...where can I buy this Tibetan turquoise pendants? My grandmother have like this one before...
