Get A Life Bead Porn

I would've written blog posts this week...really, I would have...except absolutely NOTHING happened.

Nothing.

Not one single friggin' thing.

Given that when my life DOES get exciting, it tends to be in a bad way, I should probably be thankful for these periods of extreme boredom.

But I'm not.

I'm bored.

I even think this week's selection of bead porn is a bit on the boring side, but that could just be my overall boredom with life talking. Also - if the bank would get off it's giant ASS and get me my replacement ATM CARD, then maybe bead shopping wouldn't be so damn difficult!

I mean, I'm just tryin' to do my part to support the economy, yo. C'mon, B of A, help a girl out!

While I go back to anxiously watching the mailbox for my card, here's this week's selection of bead porn from my rapidly dwindling backlog:

Black diamond and topaz Czech glass leaves.

Same shape - brighter, more tropical color scheme.

Some primitive and earthy-looking Czech glass disks. The leaves and these disks are all from Five Sisters on Etsy.

This was listed as "volcano quartz" but it's actually glass. I just thought the colors were pretty.

Dyed purple howlite disks.

More dyed howlite - loved the bright shades of aqua, purple and turquoise.

I really like this "buffalo tooth" cut on stones lately. This is a strand of African turquoise cut that way. All of the above glass and stones are from New York Bead.

Miss Fickle Media declares that she has discovered "color utopia" with this new patina called "Peacock Blue." I wholeheartedly agree!

So I bought a lot of it!

Mmmmm....peacock blue. Happy dance!

Found these long ceramic tube beads at Excellent Gem.

In many...

...many...

...many...

...many different colors!

And they had these cool ceramic long teardrop pairs, too!

Which I thought would make nifty earrings. Plus, I just like to use the word "nifty."

These gorgeous ceramic link components are from Joan Miller Porcelain.

That's it for this week. Is everyone else looking as much forward to Thanksgiving vacation next week as I am? I'm not gonna do nuthin' except eat pecan pie and make jewelry.

And then eat more pie.

And watch my ass get bigger.

Fun times.

Have a great weekend!

KJ

Oh YAY, another pie lover!

And Miss Fickle Media rocks on the patina.

And I adore Joan Miller. I've met her more than a few times in person and she's wonderful.

I too love the ceramic drops. And all the Czech glass recently has been dreamy. Unfortunately I am not allowed to buy anything till I make something new. Alas and woe!

Thanks for posting again, I am troubled today and appreciate the beauty to lighten things a bit.

I hope the bank hurries before you end up on a bead diet like me! I have to say I am addicted and if porn was gone the withdrawl would be ugly!

Where have I been? I was talking about you today with my local beading buddy, Sharon and I was realizing that I was missing you something fierce. How the hell are you? I think that there is nothing boring about your bead porn... those leaves are my fave. And I just got some of the peacock blue chain... to.die.for (and also got the patina to make my own... yeah, right! I will use it on something that has less work written all over it!).

Miss you.

Hello Missy,

Just stopped in to see if everything was okay in your little corner of bloglandia. It's not like you to go so long between post much less miss a "bead porn" day!
