Labor Day Weekend Bead Porn

I'm not actually posting this bead porn right now. I'm sitting on the beach building sand castles and riding boogie boards with my son.

I just LOVE the pre-scheduled post option ;-)

So, while I'm out there enjoying the end-of-summer waves...you can enjoy your weekly hit of bead porn:

Lovely patinated filigree beadcaps from Patina Queen.

Not only did Shannon make these gorgeous clasps AND patinate them, but she left room for me to plunk in some artwork and RESIN with them. SO COOL!

And then...I found this in her shop. A sea gull. With verdigris patina. Yeah, right, like I was gonna pass this one up! I am happily hoarding him right now.

But, enough with the brass and copper. I will always at heart be a silver girl. So, a silver starfish from Cathy Dailey? MINE. Love the bumpy, handcrafted texture of this piece!

A sterling silver shell charm from SweetRockCandy makes a great addition to the "beachy" part of my stash.

Got this sterling silver sand dollar pendant there, too. I could just make beach-themed jewelry all year long. Seriously.

See what I mean. I've already got a necklace in progress using this darling ceramic mermaid pendant from SandhraLee.

And while I was in her shop, I couldn't resist this cute red kitty cat peeking out from behind some flowers. I've already finished a necklace using this piece and will be posting it next week.

Summery and glossy ceramic bead mix from ExcellentGem.

Same vendor. This was a purely color-motivated purchase.

As was this. I couldn't resist the deep, rich, glossy shades of these beads.

It's a bad day for my bank account when Nancy at RoundRabbitExtra decides to have a closeout event in her store. But it's a good day for the bead stash when I take the opportunity to grab a few last items before she discontinues the designs forever!

I just love the sort of antiquey feel of her designs like this little textured link. And such a great color, too.

I'd been holding out for one of her peacocks as well and this one is SUCH a fabulous color.

Lovely and unusual poly-clay pendant with a brass stamping and glass dome effect from Analiese. The clay has a subtle pearlescent shimmer to it.

I love the bright yellow bird against the almost wintry background on this piece - it's hard to believe its polymer clay!

Can you tell I had a field day in her shop? I'm not usually a black and white girl, but I loved this image and the shape of the pendant. I think it will go perfectly with some black and white enamel lampwork I posted in the porn a few weeks ago, too.

I really have been trying to cut back on the lampwork obsession so not too much of it this week. These opal green disks from Outwest were an exception. They were just too unusual to pass by.

Same with these incredible aqua and purple and silvered ivory etched beads from Libelula.

That's it for this week. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend - and if you're on the East Coast, hope Earl doesn't hit you too hard.

I'm on vacation until next Thursday so this will be the last post until then. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to bead this weekend (please oh please oh please) so maybe I'll even have something to post about when I get back!

I really need to get to know Patina Queen. I love those caps. And that clasp with the bezel. Awesomeness. I haven't been paying much attention to any real buying so I appreciate that I can live vicariously through you.
Enjoy the vacation!
Enjoy the day!

I just love your bead porn! I am not shopping right now as we just bought a house and trying to figure out the new budget and all. But I am favoriting a lot of shops to go back to later. So thank you so much for sharing.
