Cotton Candy

Okay, I finally finished the last of my pink Rings 'N Things bead projects. Since I kept the necklace and the first bracelet really simple, I kind of went "all out" on this bracelet. Don't usually do stuff this, um, fluffy? but it was fun.

The striped beads were from my stash and the pink squares, pink rounds and white rounds are all from Rings 'N Things.

All the other beads - pink Swarovski pearls and crystals, sterling silver melon beads, faceted white fiberoptic beads and Bali spacers and headpins - are from my stash.

I'm pretty happy with it even if it is a LOT of bracelet.

Here's a close-up of the clasp. It's a vintage foiled white givre crystal sent in a sterling silver box clasp and I found it at A Grain of Sand. They really have the most amazing selection of clasps. Whenever I'm looking for something a little "out of the ordinary," I head over there.

And, since it's technically "Friday" for me due to the holiday weekend, I have to post the Friday eye candy:

Fruit-juicey "ice cube" beads from Etsy.

More "ice cube" beads from Etsy. I just love the fun shape - I think these will be really great to design with.

Beautiful matte blue glass beads from Sue Beads.

More from Sue. I wanted some "beach glass" looking beads to go with those great wood slices I got from Rings 'N Things and looky - Sue had the perfect stuff!

Uh, obviously, I REALLY like Sue's beads LOL!

I may've gone a bit overboard. But how could I resist?

These LOOK like they could be from Sue, but actually came from a seller called Libelula on Etsy.

Okay, I know that was a LOT of beads, but hey, June was my birthday month so guess what I did with my birthday money? Yeah, really hard to figure out.

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! I'm off to the beach tomorrow and then HOPEFULLY will get a chance to do some beading this weekend with these AWESOME beads!

Wow, now that's a bracelet that just screams I Love Pink ((G)) Sometimes it's great fun to create one of those big shoulder pad, big hair kinda pieces!! :) Gads thanks for the tip on clasps. I think I'll head on over there and do a bit of shopping :)

Enjoy the beach!! It's a great suggestion I think tomorrow is hair cuts and beach time!

That's a very pink bracelet. "Cotton Candy" is a well-chosen name to capture the light spirit of it. Great stuff!

Very pretty bracelet - I always struggle with pale colours.

I am very jealous of your new beady acquisitions.
