Happy Monday!

Wow - that is like the boringest blog title EVER. But hey, it's Monday morning. You can't expect Shakespeare.

So, my latest goodie bag from Rings 'N Things arrived late last week and I had time to photograph everything:

Of course, Russ once again arrived to deliver the goods in person - gotta love that great customer service!

First thing out of the package was a HUGE bead assortment in my favorite "beachy" colors. Looks like the perfect thing for stringing a multi-strand necklace OR beadweaving a fringe-y bracelet. The possibilities are endless.

Next out of the package was a selection of unusual precious-metal links and a copper bail. I may have to put my "engineer's daughter" hat on to figure out what to do with some of these, but I think I have a PERFECT fused glass cab that I can glue to the copper bail to make a simple pendant from.

And, of course, who doesn't love crystals? These are SUPER-sparkley and while I'm a little unsure about the color on the one set (which reminds me of my son's unfortunate bathtub incident from a few weeks ago), I'm sure I'll come up with some way to use them.

Also, lest I forget, I still owe prizes to the 2nd and 3rd place winners in my bead giveaway contest so some of these items will probably be headed your way soon.

Then, I did a teeny bit of beading over the weekend:

Finished a pair of earrings to go with the Cotton Candy bracelet.

I paired these pretty raku frit lampwork beads with onyx rounds, bronze-y/copper seed beads, turquoise disks, and a faceted amazonite briolette pendant.

Here's a closeup.

And, the clasp.

That's about it for today, but WAIT til you see the beads that arrived in the mail over the weekend! Woohoo!

- So that's why I didn't see Russ this weekend :) Love your necklace, the way the color theme is picked up from bead to bead. I'm afraid to ask what ideas will be inspiring you when you work with the lime (yellowish) crystal cubes...
