I got nuthin'...

Nothing whatsoever of blog-worthiness happened to me in the last 24 hours. Do I live an exciting life or what?

I can tell you that the laundry didn't get done and there are still dishes in the sink. I fell asleep at 9:30 last night while catching up on some of my Tivo'd shows.

My neck and shoulders still hurt, but are a little bit better.
The kid hasn't (to my knowledge) destroyed anything this week and is being unusually good. That usually means there's something awful around just waiting for me to discover it. I hate that feeling.

Tonight is "Back to School Night." I can hardly wait to hear what his teacher has to say to me...especially because we were officially "tardy" yesterday. Had to go to the office and get a tardy slip and everything.

I can't for the life of me figure out why I don't have paparazzi following me around and documenting my every move. Because, seriously, who could stand all the excitement? No one!

So, wanna look at beads instead?

Yeah, me too.

Still on my quest for accent beads to go with my (way too large) collection of art beads. Here, some pretty Czech glass from artebellasurplus on Etsy.

Color rut? What color rut? I have no idea what you're talking about.

These are actually a pretty shade of pale lavender, but it's hard to tell from the picture.

I thought these looked like miniature geodes split open to reveal this amazing purple interior.

Or maybe I was just high on pain meds for my neck and shoulders?

Either way - cool beads!

These are kinda wacky looking on their own, but I was hoping they'd look good with some of the darker brass, copper, or other oxidized chain and findings I've been playing with lately.

Kinda blue, but kinda purple...how can you go wrong with these?

Is it weird that I sometimes buy beads that I don't actually like at first sight...in the hopes that they will help me expand my color palette and design limitations? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Ahhh...back to a nice, comforting blue. I feel so safe in my little color rut. Where's my blankie and my hot chocolate?

I'm not really sure what these are. They're not blue, green, aqua or purple...and those are the only colors that exist, right? These must be bead aliens from another dimension. Oooohh...scary.

Okay, how many more hours is it until Saturday? Because I feel like it should be Saturday now. Maybe by Saturday my neck will have recovered enough so I can actually look over my shoulder. Do you know how hard it is to merge safely in traffic when you can't turn your head?

Really, really hard!

Oh I hope your neck feels better soon! I hate neck pain, it takes a lot out of you. Probably because the head itself is so heavy to hold up! :) I looked at all your new beady finds and the ones you said are out of your color palette are my favorite! :) LOL! Can't wait to see what you do with them! Feel better!

I'm with Sue, you need a chiro. Love the colour of your alien beads ;) I also love the ones you don't really like. My colour rut seems to be green, but lately I have been buying a little more variety, I wish I could show you. I might just have to do my first bead porn post. lol.

Hugs!!
