TGIBPD!

Thank God It's Bead Porn Day!

Because I have nothing else to write about unless you want to hear me gloating about the 75 degree sunny weather we're having out here or bitch about how my car battery died the other night and it took a teenage YMCA helper and AAA (after many annoying phone calls and problems and $$$) to get it going again.

Yeah, I thought not.

So, here are the goods for this week:

Beautiful, soft turquoise lampwork beads from The Orange Bell. I love their beads and just wish they would list things more frequently (cuz, yeah, I really don't have enough lampwork...)

I love these fetish birds from Floridity. In this order, I got two of the dark green ones, but I'm expecting some yellow and red ones in a package that hasn't arrived yet. Fetishes take me back to my creative roots in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I still have a gorgeous multi-strand necklace of tiny fetish birds and shell heishi beads that was made by a local artist at the request of my grandmother.

Lorelei turned me on to the wonder that is Jade Scott's Etsy site and I was finally able to pick up a couple of small things. Let me tell you - the competition when she uploads new stuff is VICIOUS! It's like a school of piranha show up and if you're lucky, you might get some of the tiny scraps that fall to the bottom of the river when they're done. If you're unlucky - you could lose a finger or two.

I thought these cute glitter pendants from Jade would add a nice, sparkly accent dangle to a bracelet some day.

I've already got a design planned out for this one involving some pineapple quartz and pearls and bronze wire.

Okay, this is one of those things that I liked when I bought it and now I'm wavering on it. I kinda thought it had a fun vintage feeling and reminded me of something my mom would have worn in the 70's when we lived in Hawaii. I'm thinking maybe some fun wood slices would look good with it.

Beautiful, organic earthtoned lampwork set from Libelula on Etsy. I hardly ever do any work with earthtones so I thought it might be a good idea to expand my range - and these are so pretty, I couldn't resist.

This orange and yellow porcelain square flower pendant is from Little Cup on Etsy. Great colors and I really like how the flower hangs over the edge of the pendant at the top.

Lastly, Santa Claus brought me this awesome dapping block set from Evie's Tool Emporium on Etsy. Gee...Santa shops Etsy, too. How cool!

Okay, that's it. Have a great weekend, everyone!

So I guess you got lucky and did not in fact lose any fingers? I think you will make that flower pendant into a great piece. I would say thing along the lines of what you do with LeAnn's pendants. I Love both sets of lampwork, I think you have most likely realized by now I love them Almost as much as you do ;) That secon set is fabulous!! I really hope you will show us something finished with those ones.

Thanks for the fix!!
