Sad News

I TOLD you that turd on my car was a sign! I'd really like to go ONE week without a crisis. Just one.

I have sad news to report from the crabitat. Checked on it this morning and found that our favorite crab, Summers, has gone to the giant crabitat in the sky.

No idea what happened to him as he seemed fine the last few days. Thankfully, the other two seem to be fine for now.

Ryan is totally devastated, but I think a part of it is that it pulls up his grief over losing his grandfather. The poor little guy tried to be so tough, too. He was really trying to hold back the tears even when I told him it was okay to cry.

I know this is a small thing compared to the other losses he's already suffered in his short life, but it's enough already. The kid needs to catch a break. I didn't have to deal with a death until I was almost 17 years old.

I'll miss Summers - out of all three of the crabs, he was the one with the most personality.

R.I.P.

Summers

Oh,know, not any of them, but especially not Summers. You know, kids get pretty attached to pets, even crabs. I feel a little sad myself.

So sad. I will miss his stunning shell and the way his creepy little tentacles would wiggle at me (if the picture were moving). Go ahead, Ryan. Give it a good cry. He was a good crab but I am sure that he is well taken care of in crabby heaven.
Come to think of crabby heaven, I am a bit crabby myself. Where the heck have I been of late? I think that blogger is playing tricks on me because I missed the last BP and the post from yesterday. How can that happen? I am glad to find you again, my friend, even if it is just to give you a cyber hug at your loss. Remember that we never truly lose what we have loved.
Live on in our hearts Summers!
Enjoy the day!

Im so sorry as we had crabs too. Its hard to have any die, as we watched ours bury their selves in the sand and think where are they? And then you see them change shells and get so attached to them. Im sad too your crablet died. A hugg for Ryan ox

You tell that sweet Ryan that Summers is waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge and he can miss him all he wants! I even had a tear!
