This just in...

...I will have two designs in the February, 2010, issue of "Bead Trends."

Woo hoo!

Oh, and since it's a short week for me (taking Friday and Tuesday off due to the kid starting school), I thought I'd start the new bead posting early;

I decided I'd been buying waaaaaayyyy too many art beads (I know, I know, that sentence doesn't compute for most of you) and not enough accent and spacer type things and then I found this great vendor on Etsy who has a lovely selection of Czech glass.

I just love how the glass is getting more and more "stone like" in its colors and finishes.

And with all of these items priced at only $2-3 each...well, I can't resist a deal like that!

Umm..obviously.

At least I got this strand that's outside of my usual color rut.

And...now I'm back in the rut again. But SUCH a pretty blue!

More color rut stuff.

And even more...

P.S. This has nothing to do with beads, but if you want more insight into just how odd my life can be at times - someone sent me a pineapple at work today. Not flowers or chocolates or a cake or even a fruit salad. A pineapple. One. Whole. Pineapple. Now, I like pineapple, but it's an odd gift, right? Besides which, it means I have to get a big knife to carve it up. And me and sharp stuff? BAAAAAD combination. But anyway, this is my life. Pineapples randomly delivered to my office. Yay.

i have been craving pineapple for 2 days. I've seen or heard about a pineapple twice today. that's just too weird.

I've gotta go to the grocery store and get one now.

I am glad you found Karen's beads, I love her Czech glass!!! I use it all the time.
I don't know what the meaning of having a pineapple delivered to you is. But I think in a country home as decoration it is good luck or something like that. Anyway, good luck with your new Czech glass, I know you will love working with them

Such beady goodness! I just faved that store on Etsy as I am gearing up for some deals.

Congrats on the Bead Trends! I just found out that the one piece I managed to cobble together before my trip to Sin City and my subsequent illness was accepted. Starting work on March with my daughter (who is now hooked on the whole publishing thing!)

Enjoy the day!

I'm super curious what kind of relationship you have with the pineapple giver! I have such interesting scenarios running through my mind :)

Mellissa - I wish there was some great story behind the pineapple, but it was a gift from a business contact at another company. Kinda ruins the mystery, doesn't it? LOL!
